Ideally located at the entrance to the Vallée d'Illiez, the shop promotes and sells local products from the Vièze valley. In a traditional setting, a wide range of dairy and meat products await your taste buds: cheese, serac, milk, yoghurt, dried meat, cured ham, bacon, sausage, as well as wine, home-made beer, fruit juices, honey and jam, chocolate and caramel, bread specialities, seasonal fruit and vegetables, etc.
The building, designed by the architect Guillaume Burri, offers a commercial surface of about 100 m2 combining tradition and modernity. The large glassed-in areas allow for plenty of natural light and proximity to the outside. The exterior larch wood cladding gilds under the sun's rays. It is also equipped with a laboratory where producers can prepare their products in a functional and hygienic environment.La Cavagne was made possible thanks to the financial participation and donations of member farmers and non-farmers. Special thanks go to the Swiss Confederation, the canton of Valais, the communes of Troistorrents, Val d'Illiez and Champéry, the Swiss Mountain Aid, as well as the Raiffeisen banks of the valley.
