Born in France, Mathilde Roux grew up in the Southern Côtes du Rhône, in Gigondas, where her parents were wine producers.
She fell into the pot as a child and wanted to "make wine" from an early age. At the age of 11, she arrived in Switzerland but the desire to work on her own wines never left her. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Life Science at the EPFL, then trained at the School of Agronomy in Montpellier and obtained a Master's degree in Vine and Wine and a National Diploma in Oenology.
After various professional experiences, it was through mutual friends that she met Gérard Roduit, whose winery she took over.
