Born into a family of winegrowers, Benoît Dorsaz grew up among the vines. In 1986, Benoît inherited a plot of Chasselas vines. From then on, he rented the family's vineyards and undertook the replanting of the vineyard as well as the renovation and expansion of his father's cellar with the support of his wife Maryline. Little by little, the estate was enlarged just enough to ensure an efficient and artisanal operation, managed by the couple. Each plot is carefully monitored and the vines flourish within a framework that the winemaker respectfully draws up.
The human being, whether a customer, a collaborator or a colleague, is at the centre of all our concerns. Excellence is not just about the quality of the wines. Benoît and Maryline attach great importance to the social role of winegrowing, in particular by offering optimal working conditions. Since 2003, the couple has refused any proposal to expand their estate. They do not want to increase the quantities, preferring to do better with their 5 hectares.
Aware that his passage is only a breath of fresh air on the scale of the Earth, Benoît Dorsaz adopts methods of cultivation that respect the environment and militates for a social, profitable and realistic viticulture. This research has led him to biodynamic cultivation techniques. In order to respect the soil of his vines, the winegrower favours natural grassing which brings a precious biodiversity.
In the cellar, the same philosophy allows the wines to express the particularities of each vintage and the particular terroir of Fully, where two massifs overlap. The arvine, cornalin, red humagne and syrah (we are on the edge of the Rhône!) benefit from maturing in wood. Benoît Dorsaz likes to hide behind his wines, behind THE WINE, a beverage that is both earthly and heavenly.
