PALP - Carnöt'Sierre

Description

At 10 am on Saturday morning, you’ll meet your guide, Marlène Galletti, at the reception of the Ibis Style Hotel in Sierre and walk with her to the Château Mercier to visit its gardens and take ingredients to make pesto. Afterwards, you’ll head to the Château de Villa where you’ll be treated to delicious local tapas.

Your guide will then take you to the heart of the city of Sierre for a cultural overview offered by the PALP festival. Moving from one cellar to another, you’ll discover the underground life in the old districts. Your "Carnötzet" activities will lead to an incredible live performance, a Dantesque show, a raclette tasting, listening to a poem or taking part in a silent disco. More than 100 performances are on offer, to be enjoyed according to your mood.

At the end of the day, you’ll return to your hotel where you’ll overnight. Dinner is served in the restaurant, a member of the Slow Food Chefs' Alliance.

On Sunday morning, you’ll meet your guide again and accompany her through the Chemin des Cépages, a regional wine trail. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a picnic of regional products provided by a Slow Food Community. You’ll then continue your walk to discover the wild River Rhône.

At around 4.30 pm, your guide will take you to Salgesch station where your belongings await you. With your head full of memories and the pesto made the day before in hand, you’ll head back home.
